I was mowing the lawn this arvo when I noticed a new leaf appearing out of my Kentiopsis pyriformis, I scored this little guy off Kennybenjamin and so far so good, would love to see any other mature specimens from the palmtalkers out there

Gold Coast, Queensland Latitude 28S. Mild, Humid Subtropical climate. Rainfall - not consistent enough!

I think this palm and maybe the couple around it are K. pyriformis? Photos from the garden of Jeff Marcus.

A great palm, I have two at Beerwah, both show similar new leave tinges. I'd love ten more. Easy grow too.

Happy Gardening

Here ya go, gorgeous palm! That one is on my list as Jeff Marcus seems to believe that it's even hardier than Oliviformus

Thanks for fixing that. Haven't been on my computer this weekend. And yeah, these do seem hardy. Mine pictured saw 5 nights from 29-31 without any issues.

It wasn't till just this minute I realized its the ONLY palm I have TWO of planted at my place!

THAT'S an unofficial stamp of approval if there ever was one! :D

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!
