Thanks for sharing scenes from parts of Sri Lanka. I appreciate that as we usually don't hear much or see much from Sri Lanka.

Some very beautiful landscapes and very green.

Hawaii Island (Big Island), leeward coast, 19 degrees N. latitude, south Kona mauka at approx. 380m (1,250 ft.) and about 1.6 km (1-mile) upslope from ocean.

No record of a hurricane passing over this island (yet!).

Summer maximum rainfall - variable averaging 900-1150mm (35-45") - Perfect drainage on black volcanic rocky soil.

Nice sunsets!

Many thanks Al in Kona,

On the 2'153 posts I did since november 2012, maybe 2'100 are showing srilankan landscapes, gardens and palms.
I hope the search engine or "my content" will help you to see some more pictures.

I love Sri Lanka as if it became my country… looking forward to landing there soon again.

Hawaii is not bad too :)
