Who is going to the NCPS San Francisco Tour this Saturday?

Mauna Kea Cloudforest

Recommended Posts

Glenn posted this in the affiliate forum, I had no idea that forum even existed: http://www.palmtalk.org/forum/index.php?/topic/41725-ncps-tour-in-san-francisco/. This looks like a fun event. It will also be a great opportunity for some new photos of Cloudforest species on PalmTalk.

David Kruse-Pickler, the associate curator at San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum, will be discussing the palm collection there at 2:30pm tomorrow (Saturday 6/7/14). High-altitude palms have become a priority for the Garden because of their three high-altitude tropical collections (Mesoamerica, South America, and Southeast Asia). We'll take a walk afterwards to see their nearly complete collection of Trachycarpus spp. in the ground and at least eight spp of Ceroxylon planted-out.

It's always chilly in Golden Gate Park so bring layers!
