Oooo!  Where you get that D. onilahensis?  I have two planted in the ground for a couple of years (or is it three?) and they are smaller.

If you are looking for a new camera, I'd definitely recommend a Canon Powershot.  You can get one with 4x optical zoom and 5 megapixels on Amazon for about $200.  I bought one six months ago and I can't believe how great the pictures are.

Fred, thanks for the camera tip.  I bought the onilahensis from a private grower in Fallbrook.  He only had two left and he was planting one of them.

I can only get 5 pictures to appear...

But the ones I see look nice!

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Nice palms.  The Foxy Lady will grow like a weed once established.

Thanks Ray,

Do you think the foxy lady is the real deal?  The new leaf looks more foxtail than foxy lady to me.  Is this how it looks as a young plant?

Yes to the foxy lady question. That is a nice size santelucei for planting. Great selection all round, very 'A' grade team.

Happy Gardening

Wal thanks for the kind words. Here is a close up of the new leaf.  Leaflets look much shorter and more foxtail than the older leaf.  Still think its the real deal?
