Anyone using 8.1? I am going to buy a new laptop but am concerned since I was using my brother's with 8.1 to post here on Palmtalk and it would not allow me to upload pictures on to the site. Should I look into another OS or was that a one time error?

8.1 works fine on PalmTalk, but otherwise it sucks across the board.

If you are going to get a new laptop with 8.1 then touchscreen is a must. I got an Asus touchscreen back in November and I havent really had a problem using 8.1. It did take some getting used to (I had to google how to do a couple things like closing an app) but from what ive read the next set of updates should take care of it. The touchscreen makes really easy to skim through posts or to zoom in or out of pics. Without it I can understand people's frustrations.

I don't think it's the OS that can present problems with PalmTalk as much as it is the browser.

I use 8.1 as well and I can't find any problems.

But I don't really use the "Metro" menu, I always skip to desktop.
