So every now and then someone brings me palm seeds but this is the first time where I am questioning what seeds I have. Not only that but these seeds are fresh and have just started dropping? They were in Pensacola, Florida according to the collector when he gave them to my brother to give to me. I have no other info that this to go on. I am blown away first by the timing of the seeds maturing in that area but also at what I have.

They look to be smallish Butia capitata (never seen any this time of year) seeds or Syagrus romanzoffiana. Now I have no experience with queens and we have none in the area so I am leaning towards them. Can I get some more educated guesses?

I can also take some better quality pics today if needed.
