Hello all, I just returned home from Oklahoma City with two new baby palms! I stopped in at Alligator Alley and bought two Sabal minor McCurtain...the fronds haven't opened yet, but I imagine they will soon!! Here's some pictures...

Also, my cat has been peeing in my Trachy's pot...so the cat will remain outside...but what should I do for the plant? Will this kill my palm??

Water the pee plant, a lot. Then dust if with red pepper, cayenne if you can get it. That fixed the same issue with one of my potted plants.

I really like Keith's idea - red pepper. I would also mix it with a little water and spread the paste outside the rim of the pot. Cats usually sniff their target before they let loose. Also, I posted other remedies on your cat pee topic.

A good rinsing shower - in the bathtub - would less damaging than leaving the pee sit. Be sure the pot drains very well. Don't let it sit in a tray of water. If possible, set pot on a stand or tray of rocks so air can flow under it. The age of an animal influences the strength of its urine. Young cats/dogs have a more dilute urine. Old animals have strong, pungent urine

Thanks!! I thoroughly soaked it, hopefully it'll be fine...I moved my baby Sabals outside, the fronds haven't opened yet, but the wind seems to be whipping them around...should they stay inside on account of the wind?
