Needing future shading for the chooks I planted this striking purple toned Bismarckia nobilis in a position where shade will be provided from afternoon summer sun. I aim to plant another palm nearby as well, unsure what to plant as yet, possibly a leptocheilos.

Wal the purplish bizzies are typically a very silver white when grown as I am sure you know. this will lend a striking element to a tropical yard... I look forward to seeing this one progress...

Formerly in Gilbert AZ, zone 9a/9b. Now in Palmetto, Florida Zone 9b/10a??
