I seem to get posting problems on my work computer but none on my home computer. I use Firefox on home computer and Internet Explorer 10 at the office.

I get posting problems in particular when I'm trying to post a new topic. If I review it before posting, it usually goes through, though sometimes they take a number of tries. This can be irritating as typed data and files are lost and have to be typed in again.

Let's keep our forum fun and friendly.

There are so many possible configurations and permutations of operating systems, browsers, firewalls, anti-virus, etc. that it is impossible to explain everything. But just the fact that you can have no problems on one computer, and problems on another - and some people never have problems, and others do - indicates that there are probably issues with the computer/configuration being used, not something that PalmTalk can fix.

If you are using third party ad blockers, anti-spamware/virus, un-patched older browsers and operating systems, try uninstalling them and/or update/upgrade your software. If you don't upgrade your browser along with the patches and upgrades to your OS, there is no telling what could be happening.

And learn simple computer maintenance - clear your cache, and if on a PC, do the maintenance that is recommended. If you're on wireless, make sure it's secure and configured correctly.

Having said that, there are constant attacks trying to gain access to the Forum. We had a brief down period a few days ago that turned out to be Bing requesting 500 photos at 2 second intervals, thus causing memory issues - and we had to install a script that prevented such action. So there are literally hundreds of things that can go wrong, both on your end and ours.

Thanks to those of you who help make this a fun and friendly forum.
