Compartimos la experiencia del control del picudo negro en el Pacifico mexicano en especies de coco de agua para fruta y demas especies de palmeras nativas de la region asi como palmeras de ornato para la industria hotelera en general.

Este insecto sigue destruyendo habitats de palmas en ambienta natural sin el mas minimo interes de autoridades fitosanitarias pero la iniciativa privada invierte en sus desarrollos ornamentales ya que es parte del paisaje natural dicha vegetacion que se muestre sana y observa nuestras palmeras recuperadas en un lapso de 4 a 6 meses donde se puede apreciar las hojas cuando hay presencia del picudo en su estado de larvas se muestran amarillentas y debilitadas como si faltara agua en el individuo. Una vez controlado el insecto con una aplicacion de una inyeccion a alta presion dos veces al año se recupera al ver sus nuevas hojas con un color verde oscuro y hojas frondosas.
