Seedling about 6 years old without protection, just starting to crank out a lot of leaves (planted 8 months ago from a rootbound 1 gal) got hit with around 26F for over 5 hours, and basically defoliated.

5 - 10 gallon sized plant on east side of house under a canopy of root beer plant (Piper auritum) withstood approximately 24 hrs below freezing with an ultimate low of 20F with very minimal damage.

An ultimate low of 17F with 36 hours below freezing significantly damaged the same palm mentioned above. All fronds were fried, but the spear remained good and had begun growing again.
