I have a bit of a rainforrest in the back yard myself. Used to have 85 different species planted. I let the hobby slide over the years and now barely remember what I planted. These pics taken during a monsoonal downpour last week.

We ( Darwin Northern Territory ) have an extreme wet/dry Monsoonal climate.our rainfall of about 70" a year falls between Oct and April. The other 5 months are usually completely dry. Extreme night temps of 52f during the 'dry' and 88f'-92f during the day. Dry season nights average 68f-72f. Wet season nights average 78f-86f and days 92f-96f. Wet season humidity and heat is brutal.

To grow equatorial  palm species here we need a lot of irrigation during the dry months.

Things are really growing for me-business/career, family, and palms. I have a lot to be thankful for!
