I have tried and tried to sprout this seed, and have had nothing but bad luck at getting any quantity to germinate.

took a while to get the deal setup but it really paid off!!!!!

I cant wait to get these bad boys rooted out and plant some around the farm.

One problem with the Acrocomia mexican is that it is not self cleaning like the aculeata, read persistent leaf base. I have seen some in Florida that were at least 20 years old and had some 20some foot of trunk with no sign of losing its leal base. Aculeatas' self-clean very early.

These palms could very well be acrocomia mexicana.

Time will tell.

I am still happy as can be to have aquired them.

Should be plenty of them for sale this spring!!!

Next year I plan on doing it again!!!!

Maybe I will just call them acrocomia (sp?)

I would be happy too,Love to trade for Mexicanas' I will try to take some photos today. I have a Mexicana in the ground I got from Ed Brown, its about 10ft. tall. Have 4 other varietys in the ground. Lost a really nice A.vinifera with over 10ft of trunk to butt rot,it also had a persitant leaf base. Acrocomias are the only palm that I can grow to royal palm-size with out fan leaves. They have withstood 22degs and 3 hurricanes with 100mph winds.

Well, if you're going to do it, you might as well overdo it.

You certainly did.

You'll have one [expletive] of a Nudist Colony for the Blind!

That said, they'll grow here in Cali, and you'll be able to sell some, if the Evil Quarantine Machine lets them pass.
