Two seedlings, 1 3' tall, and 1 18" tall, planted against a wall that seems to be offering moderate cold protection.  Temps just a few feet from these plants were 27F for 5 hours.  Plants are also under shade cloth.  No detectable damage on either plant, though seedling Chamaedorea woodsoniana burned quite noticably just 1' away.

I have one three foot tall L. ramsayi that is still alive after the 2007 freeze. In that year the palm received a 29.5F temperature for 3 hours for one night and had some bronzing on one or two leaves that were more horizontal. This plam is planted on a north side canyon under 40-50% canopy. There was some frost on that side of the house that night.
