And, probably my final post - the Farewell Dinner on the evening of Monday September 17th. In the first photo, a very happy Hawaii contingent, and in the next one; me, Kampon Tansacha, Leland Lai (incoming IPS President) and Leland's daughter, Lynzee, and the final two photos show a little bit of what an incredible evening and production this was. :)

Great hanging with my Hawaii friends, Bo & Kim, and partner in non-crime Annika! That was the most beautiful sunset, on our way to farewell dinner at Nong Nooch!!

The morning we leave for trip home, our unassuming Patron Saint, Mr. Kampon Tansacha, was there. I feel deeply indebted to him, but how can I pay back?

Mr. Xing from South China Botanical Garden told me that he hiked up this trailless mountain, and saw lots plants similar to those on Hainan island, China. I guess botanists are crazier than hobbists, who merely climb Coryphas

thanks to everyone for sharing the photos – I had forgotten about one of my nice memories, the ride in the back of that open truck going up to Khao Yai National Park – the higher altitude and cool winds blowing across the truck bed was really nice after the heat and humidity down at lower elevations
