Finally started to get a nice bloom on this little tree, pretty stunning.

See Ari and Peter, I do have a few trees other than palms planted.

Been in the ground for a few years now from a small 1 gal.

Wow! I love it! My one tree has yet to bloom and just recently grew a second trunk at the base. Guess mine needs a few more years... I'll never forget seeing a huge one in the wild in Costa Rica. Everyone (in the tropics at least) needs one of these.

Stop it, Tim!!! I want that tree... I don't have that tree!!! I asked my friend to buy me that tree last time and he only got one, so he kept it himself <_<

Regards, Ari :)

Give him a sucker punch the next time you see him, but don't hurt him too bad.

Tim, that's awesome. I planted a 1 gallon earlier this year, now I know what to expect (or at least, what to hope for).

Spotted this 18 year old specimen at the Hilo Zoo getting a little trim last fall and fell in love. Thanks to leads from Tim and Bill I was able to track down a source and snatched up a couple that are sitting in the nursery waiting for plant out, maybe next spring. - gmp

Well nine years later, my tree is blooming! worth the wait.  Sorry, not the best photos.

I'd love updates /photos from anyone growing these.

Also, friends here want one, so suggested sources or best ways to propagate mine would be much appreciated! I understand mine is unlikely to make seed.

I always know if there's a plant I want, Cindy Adair already has it!  I was just revisiting the idea of trying to find some of these online.
