I was thinking abouty doing something crazy tonight, thanks Pete, so I went out just now, it's dark, it's after 9:30pm, it's drizzling, it's cold, it's been about 8 degrees below average for this time of year, but I'm happy to do it for the people, here's some of my night broms..

Thanks Esther, a few more I forgot to post include the A.imperialis collection I'm putting together, why ? I don't really know, it's winter, that's when I do crazy non palmy gardening, I've also been planting New Guinea impatiens, some pansies, veggies and herbs, once upon a time I went winter mad and became an overnight rosarian.

Pete, you are 'Brom' crazy!

:) Tim, your right mate, i am "Brom crazy" :) Tim, until i got into broms a few years ago winter was quite dull, as i only plant palms in the "warmest wettest months'.( oct to feb..5mths)

Thanks to Bromeliads , my winter days ( june to aug) are never dull, i love watching them colour and enjoy moving them around, they are such wonderful plants from the "Magical Sth Americas"..I better go and take a few more night shots even though its raining.... :) Tim, I look fwd to your "Broms at night " pics...

Wal, keep your pics coming, your collection is growing rapidly,( addictive little delights eh) your alcantarea imperialis are well situated and looking fantastic.. Even though winter is a break from planting palms , broms are so hardy , versatile and colourful, they fill our day with endless fun eh..Pete :)

So many nice broms.... I am in the process to get my broms back after a vacuum for 5 years or more. Hopefully I have something to show next year :)

I have located my broms to a new garden area, most are still in their pots as I finalise my thoughts on sightings. Here's some night shots of this area to add to this thread.
