DoomsDave 8,753 Report post Posted April 7, 2012 Howdyall: One of the Arenga engleri in my bustling hedgerow of same was not happy, so I removed it. It appears that it just didn't keep up with the herd relative to the water competition from the other Arengas near it, and was starting to decline. It's now sitting in a big huge bucket of water waiting for someone to come and get it, take it home, and love it, or at least cuss it with grace. The picture shows it next to the infamous Green Monster, for scale. PM me, and arrange a pickup. First come, first served, sooner the better. When you get it home, let it soak a day or two in a bucket of water OUT OF THE SUN AND WIND. Then, plant it in a big pot, garbage can, or box, out of the sun and wind, and keep it moist. It should root in within a month, and be ready to put in the ground about six months from now. Max size will be about 6-8 feet, with roughly equal spread. PM ME! HAPPY EASTER, PASSOVER, ETC.
