33F, no damage whatsoever.

I have several of these in liners and nice 1 gal size all over. They all saw under 28F for 4 nights. Some covered, some not. I'm still looking for the "bad looking one"!

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Any new information on this species' cold tolerance? What about cool summers, will it still grow, or does it need heat?

Kim, I had one throw a stunted leaf after winter in the greenhouse. Not sure what that means. It's a New Caledonia palm so I assume that it'll grow great for you. It seems real trouble free from my experience and from what I've seen and heard from others.

Kim, I'd put it in the sun at your place, just not that south side of your house! Should do fine for you
