Have a 4' tall specimen been growing great year round... not even a hint of damage or slowing down when temps got 120F here!!  And this last weekend temps got down to 25-27F most places in the yard, though this plant is planted between two Italian Cypress... not a hint of damage.... even though Chamaedorea metallica planted under it was pretty badly scorched.

Just visited nearby nursery (1 week after the 'big one'): 2 5 gal plants, 2' overall height with a tiny bit of protection from a now fried King palm in a larger pot right next to them:  both have moderate to severe leaf damage from a low of 26F (no idea how long), but newest leaves and spikes look OK.  Was actually surprised to see these palms at a 'regular' plant nursery... not bad price, either... too bad both damaged.

Three plants in one gallon containers about 14" tall on the ground with no protection. 26.5F minimum. No damage at all.
