Steve, calm down, bro

Yes, today a weak system moved down the coast & some sleet [even a little snowfall] was reported in the Santa Monica mountains down to 1500'.  But this system will further weaken and move east tonight.

Here's the latest Nowcast from NWS-SD 3:30PM

.NOW..

THROUGH 6 PM...A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL MOVE FROM WEST TO EAST

ACROSS THE AREA. ISOLATED LIGHT SHOWERS AND A POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORM

WILL MOVE FROM SOUTH TO NORTH ALONG THIS FRONT.

There is some difference of opinion but no frost/freeze warnings are expected into next week except in the Imperial valley/Arizona again tonight.  It should stay cool especially at night for a while but sunny and warmer into next week.
