Have a 6' tall over all seedling of this plant, somewhat protected by a juniper that is next to it, but not over it.  Temps 27F for 5 hours plus damage all the leaves, but only noticed that today (4 days later).

So little is known about this Caryota which I think has a lot of potential i a SoCal/Med climate
