Tender, they say.

Four babies in the ground, about 4 feet tall, temps down to about 29 FF, some show serious (70% damage) others show mild (20%) damage.

Big mama, 20+ tall, 29 FF, no damage so far, aiming a fan into the crown, call me mad!

10 foot plant, 3 years in ground. Very damaged leaves. Spear still green, but am concerned for it's survival. It needs a break. This one would be the worst to lose...

Update:

Big Mama's still alive, and apparently okay, after four successive days of night-long 28-29 temperatures, and two days of a fan aimed at the crown.

Aware, of course, that some damage may not be obvious!  :(

Update. Mine was completely burned at 26F, including top part of spear. Looks awful. But a sharpie marker shows the spear pushing up about 1/2" in the past 5 days. I like that.

Mine died a slow death due to fungal infection. It had been two years in the ground. Too big to adequately protect. Pisser.
