1 week after freeze and 29 degree temps in 2 gal plant and two leaves show some signs of burn but burn is showing up.  Leaf damage is white and the soil is not dry, is this normal for cold damage?  same type of damage is visisble on Kentia and Chambeyronea hookeri while damage on others is brown.

Riverside report.  20 degrees in the back yard.  West side in the open my Caryota Thai Mt. giant in a pot is brown.  Damage was seen on pots of Dypsis Madagascariensis, Wodyetia and Dypsis Leptchielos.  Same caryota a bit highter, planted and under trees shows no damage.  Of course bouganvilla is toasted.   It was sad to see the Huntington Caryotas yesterday.

Dave I am not sure, but I swore you said I could plant out the one I just picked up. I put it on hill with SW exsposure and it got fried. I hope it makes it.

Ladies and Germans, this was a nasty day for the Hillies.

This is my biggest one, about 10' feet tall, so pretty.

Not so pretty two weeks post 28=29 for four solid consecutive nights, no frost, thank heaven.

Not good.
