No damage.

3+ ft tall in ground, 28F, no visible frost. No visible damage, no protection either!

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

One small, another very small, second winter in ground.  Lowest low 31, dry.  Planted among other plants, but not exactly canopy.  No visible damage.

Same here took down to 26 and no damage. Suprised me never thought that this would be so cold hardy. Also no cover.

7 year old seedling about 3' tall overall, had only 3 good leaves (lost some to severe summer heat/sun) lost 2 of the last 3 with 27F for 5 hours... 3rd leaf is still questionable, but has taken an entire 7 days to even notice the damage on this palm.  Would not be surprised if palm is dead, just doesn't know it yet.

Well, this old dog learns a new trick every day, in addition to not pooping on the rug.

This large R. baueri was exposed to four solid awful nights of 28-29 F, no cover, and it took a hard hit.

I did notice a strange thing on my 3' tall one. The last frond that came out this fall was a little "toasted looking" in about a 1 foot long section.  I think that was where the grow point was during our real hot/humid early summer.  This same section has turned totally crispy like light tissue paper after the freeze, the rest of the frond looks fine.  ???
