happ 140 Report post Posted November 16, 2011 Another chance of rainfall this weekend unless the storm track is well offshore like the last one! Some places got abundant rainfall while others were nearly bone-dry!

MattyB 2,015 Report post Posted November 21, 2011 1.3" of rain at my place. The hillside is starting to absorb better now. With another good rain the rock hillside will all be charged up with water and will flow continuously down the canyon creeks until Spring. This early rainy season is great! Hopefully we won't get a drought right in the middle of it, which often does happen.
happ 140 Report post Posted November 22, 2011 I also measured 1.35 from yesterday's storm and now have over 5 inches this rain year [starting in July]. The hills are green and the fire danger lessens as each week passes.
PalmGuyWC 1,480 Report post Posted November 24, 2011 Once again the cold front passing through the SF Bay area fell apart and I only got a trace of rain. The good news is there are no freezing temps. forecast for the next week and it's suppose to warm up some next week. Last year over Thanksgiving we experienced the coldest temps of the season. Dick A troubling atmospheric signal perhaps. La Nina can be very dry. Recent storms have been staying out over the Pacific w/ only light or no rainfall on land. Your weak storm turned out to be no storm in southern California but rainfall totals sre still above normal overall.

happ 140 Report post Posted November 29, 2011 This warmth will come crashing to an end in a few days as an upper low retrogrades into California from Montana. Strong winds and maybe some light rain but most importantly, it will get cold at night.
