These photos stir my wanderlust. The colors, the people, the strange places, the fantastic temples, the muddy river, the blazing sunsets; you've captured so much. Oh right, the palms! :) Was this travel for travel's sake, or were you there for work-related purposes? Just incredible, thank you.

My Internet connection is not the fastest, but your photos are well worth the wait! All the more enchanting for being devoid of tourists. A real sense of exploration!

Thanks for sharing your travelog of great photos. I've been to Malaysia (including Borneo) and Thailand and now you've whet my appetite for those other areas you show as well. So much to see in this world!

Hawaii Island (Big Island), leeward coast, 19 degrees N. latitude, south Kona mauka at approx. 380m (1,250 ft.) and about 1.6 km (1-mile) upslope from ocean.

No record of a hurricane passing over this island (yet!).

Summer maximum rainfall - variable averaging 900-1150mm (35-45") - Perfect drainage on black volcanic rocky soil.

Nice sunsets!

Thanks for all the kind words and yes Kim it is travelling for travelling sake. A special thanks to Kumar for posting a thread on Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens while I was in the planning stages of this trip. I am glad I took the time to return there. The following are some photos I took while wandering around there.
