the difference is that there was no motor bike, no cars.. so it is quiet. Perfect for what we wanted to do... which was nothing... 2 days was probably all I could handle... he he he. After that, I would be itching doing something. Lombok is also a good place to pick up some pearl. A lot cheaper than here in Australia and similar quality... so I got one, only a small one, but I am happy with it :D

Haven't been to Gili. Lombok has been a "must visit" for a long time, but every trip to Indonesia ends up being 90% crossing Java visiting family, only leaving a couple of days to ourselves. A trip is in order this year, if nothing happens.

My favourite place as far as Indonesia goes... quieter than Bali... I like it. Used to go all the time when we were working at a mine in Sumbawa.... But, maybe too quiet for Paul :mrlooney:
