Pete,

I absolutely love the Carcharodons. I just picked up Hannibal lector on the weekend, and hopefully I can find more locally or in Cairns next year.

I love your twin bungalow. Is it only 2 bedrooms? Or does it have a living room attached as well? The design of ours is getting finalised (until Scott changes it again). So hopefully I can finish drawing it up and then get it engineered. We will owner build it, and start when Ella is 8 or 9, and hopefully will finish in 2 years. I can't face to have another builder enter my property!!

Regards, Ari :)

Old news to most but for folk that dont how this...Carcharodon Rainbow was discovered growing on rocks in a rubbish dump in Rio and has NEVER been seen in the wild, Carcharodon Tiger was found by chance in a small orchid nursery in Brazil by Mr Bromeliad Chester Skotak (2 plants ,again never seen in the wild) and the Stunning Carcharodon Silver, Im not up to date on her findings, will do more homework. Michael, this is the Plan exactly which has already started, we already have Tigers, Macho, and Silver on trunks like Raphias. Carcharodons LOVE to be up in a tree or palm trunk, DONT put them on the ground as they will ROT, and there far too sexy to be on the ground. Pete :winkie:

I love the Neo and Aec species that have a bunch of cultivars. My partner Derek bought a Neo carcharadon Rainbow yesterday, it is really nice. He almost bought a Neo carcharadon Silver, but didn't this time. Both are great broms. I just picked up a Neo Chantinii Samurai.. the Japanese clone. Your's appears to be the American clone. Both are nice, just different types of variegation.

Keep the pics coming!...

Hi Pete, congratulations for you collection, are very impressive!! Neo. carcharodon is the desire of any collector of bromeliads, I hope to have some soon, but this type of bromeliads are not sold here, and the only way to get them is to order from Florida...

Good 2 gear you all enjoyed the pics, Broms are serious fun and serious colour for the garden. Remember Carcharodons are best on a log with aLOT of light, have another look at my Tiger on a log right at the start, it gets 7 hrs of the first rays of full sun in autumn winter. Way less in summer as they will bleach and cook. Go and Collect a Carcharodon or 3, you will Never regret it. Have Fun. Pete
