Wallichia disticha flowering

Very nice Eric.  The only palm that outdoes that is the Salacca at Leu.

Those Wallichia are short lived, that one in the photo has been in the ground less than 10 years. One here at Leu Gardens is a little bit taller and started flowering last year and it was planted in 1995, about 3ft when it went in.

Are you referring to the Salacca wallchiana ? That has turned out to be a suprise. This summer I planted a S. magnifica and a S. zalacca nearby.

Yes Eric the wallichiana.  I have yet to see it but will likely be out there with Bobby on Sunday.  Will you be there?

Eric,

It depends on what time Bobby calls me.  He is supposed to arrive today, travel to St. Augustine tonight and return to Orlando on Sunday morning. PM me your cell phone # if you think you'll be available.
