Don't you worry.... we have crocodiles attack here and still people are doing stupid things like that. At one stage, 3 girls were posing on top of crocodile trap. And this crocodiles literally can eat you......

then we walked back to jeffs.i snapped a few pix of the roadside flora.

thinking: "how do i fit this in my luggage?"

i could keep it in the shower where it warm & humid!

l.grandis looks on as we rappel our way down jeffs uber-steep driveway.

the next morning dawns clear & beautiful.

too bad we weren't awake to see it.

heres the resto on the freakin' beach(!) we ate at when it was well past

the actual appointed breakfast time.

check out the sound system on the roof covered by a camper shell.

i LOVE coffee.

the food was super-incredible! those tortillas still haunt my dreams!

by the order of these pix it seems we mustve stopped here next at jeffs favorite coffee dive.

our destination that day was the hotel mariposa. jeff highly recommended the view from there &

he was spot on! if we ever go back i definitely wanna stay there.

i thought i was in monaco for a minute.

I know what you mean. Nothing beats "Restaurant"!

you got that right! the "hole-in-the-wall" places were MUCH better! the only exception being some of the tuna steaks i had at the nicer restos.

The next day we hung out at the Bali House pool. I will post more photos later...whenever Paul catches up

That Bali house pool really sort of scared me . But, then again I do not like being in places where I think I could fall from. It is a great view though.

actually we didnt stay there cuz we already were staying with jeff,wal,but it would be nice to go back & stay there someday & feel like a real jet-setter.

then we drove around for a while to check out the view,which was,meh,"just ok."

deluxe shack by the road where they play snooker & eat little sandwiches with the crusts cut off.

then we went to a litle bar near jeffs place called a "sunset bar" because of the great view of the --wait for it--

setting sun but it was only 3 o'the clock.so we left.

we came back later when the sun was actually setting & had a few drinks,a normal activity for consenting

adults on vacation.

jes continues here mission to find the best tasting & best spelling for a caipurina.

i spotted a tree.

jeff wonders how he got himself into this.

actually we are getting close to the beginning of the end.

john,the next trip is to bali(natch) but with a side-trip to bogor botanical garden in java. i know i have been threatening to do this for years but the arrangements are all made this time. we should be leaving just about

the time this thread is finished...

just as some of you predicted.

someone found a frog in one of the flower arrangemnts.

it was yummy.

later that evening jes & i went to the restaurant next to the sunset bar near jeffs place.

here i am working on my "sippy face." now that i look back i see we may over-done the

"sippy face" pix.

the bali house was un-occupied the next day so we got to hang out by the pool.

here jeff shows us a strange phenomenon called "tree leaks."

the view from the pool was wonderful.

you should try it & rent the place for a week or two.
