post-206-088210500 1297400695_thumb.jpg

I have no idea what photo #1 is...

#2 looks like Calyptrogyne

Wow... some nice palms...

I have to get some Asterogyne.... note to self, next time... try to fit Asterogyne in the car instead of Christmas presents... who needs another bowl??

Jeff,

Does Calyptrogyne ghiesbreghtiana have reddish/bronze new growth too? Mine is green!!!

Regards, Ari :)

Hi Ari, I've never seen Calyptrogyne with red/bronze color on the new leaves, only Asterogyne.

I wanted to say my favourite photo was the tortilla with the blob of sour cream, but then it turned into a very decent palm thread. From post 29 should be split and moved to the main forum IMO. I always wanted to grow Calyptrogyne ghiesbreghtiana, but along with Bactris and Asterogyne, I find them to be just too climate sensitive.

the leaf shape looked similiar--not fully bifid.

i am no expert,however.
