Slow palm will eventually grow palmate leaves with furry silver undersides like the 25-yr-old plant in the photo. I have about a dozen smaller 10-year-old plants in tall-treepots like the one in the second photo. Leaves are starting to display silvery undersides. Shade grown. They have survived low temps in the mid 20s with no damage. $25 each. Local pick up in Oceanside only. 760-271-1876

I germinated one about 7 years ago it now has three leaves on it. 25 bucks for a ten year old plant, in my opinion is a steal.

So, I and another poster around here will be giving these a try....as long as no dog steps on them... :o

So far, I have to echo Jeff's comments.

Thanks Todd!

I stole 3 over the T-Day weekend . . . .

These are not plants for the pathologically impatient . . . .

This is from Todd, probably from the same batch that was $25 back then. Now it's $150. He has several larger ones but NFS (and they look awesome!) I believe he still has some similar to this one.

Mine are still growing.. bigger, but should been planted by now... (like everything else I own)

Oh yes, there was a recent auction at Todds, as he admitted to neglecting some stuff and was hoping to move on ... but he was doing better himself than in the past. I saw some of these, as noted above I think the price was now $150? I could not stay long at all that day, so left really early.

Well Ill keep him on the Lookout,  Ive been going to Palm Meetings for past 4 yrs off and on, was at the last one in Encinitas, but still learning who is who.   Ill keep this Palm in mind and hopefully score one down the road.  Guess everyone got pretty good deal 8 yrs ago lol.    I dont have much real estate left so a slow growing palm might be perfect lol.
