I was very pleased to see my Satakentia leaf open up last week and also a second new leaf for one of my Dypsis pembanas. These were both transplants from early this year so all signs for these guys are good. The pembanas have been the best palm species by far to get re-adjusted into a steady growth pattern.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Garden is looking great. For a moment I wasn't sure that was a pembana.......temporarily blinded by a white orb between the leaves. Yeah, and another 'crikey' to boot.
