Great photos Clayton! Thanks for posting!

About the method, I realize a lot of people are using Photobucket, and that seems to be an excellent way. I have never used Photobucket. I simply post one photo at a time (and mine, for whatever reason, comes out larger than Clayton's in this thread) and the quality seems to be perfectly fine. Also, I happen to prefer the one-at-a-time approach because that way I can put a name, or description, for each individual photo without any risk of confusion. Sometimes with multiple photos when there's text between two photos I have to do a double-check whether the text refers to the photo above or below. If it's just a question of Clayton posting larger photos, I'm sure that there's a way for him to do that directly into a specific thread.

Hi Shon  this sp comes from 1000m alt it takes temps here down to 3 deg around 35 far,it would probley take lower temps but would need a little protection of other palms or plants, all these palms im listing all take this temp. There are a least 5 calyptrocalyx that should grow very well in cali u.s.a. or sydney australia

Great photos.  When I was at Floribunda a couple years ago, Jeff showed me what he thought was a new Lemurophoenix species, the only difference I could see was the petiole coloration was more speckled I think.  Is there a new Lemurophoenix species recognized?  Do you think yours is the same as what Jeff Marcus has?  What is different about it?

Looks cool.

Matt

PS.  I made a guess on the first page that the Dypsis that you did not give the ID on (told people to guess) was a decaryiXcabadae.  Wal seemed to indicate taht was correct but you never gave the final word.  A beautiful palm, is that the correct ID?

Hi matt, yes its the same thing i supplied jeff with them, the only thing that looks the same is the seed (but a lot smaller, the palm it's self looks nothing like the L.HALLEUXII. AND YES YOU WERE RIGHT IT IS A D.CABADAE CROSS thIS ONE STAYED SINGLE STEM BUT SOME OF THE OTHERS ARE CLUMPING,THIS PALM IS ABOUT 18 YEARS OLD.

HAVE YOU TRYED ANY OF THE CALYPTROCALYX ? THEY ARE VERY EASY TO GROW, JEFF ,SEARL AND JEFF MARCUS SHOULD HAVE MANY DIFFRENT TYPES THAT IVE BEEN SENDING FOR MANY YEARS.
