2nd coldest for Gainesville/Central North Florida on record, according to NOAA.

1st coldest was in 1962 with a low of 10F.

http://www.gainesville.com/article/20100303/ARTICLES/3031004/1118?Title=Gainesville-sees-second-coldest-winter-ever

I saw a low of 14F at my house with 14 mornings straight below freezing. Lost a bunch of "Cold Hardy" stuff.

:(

At least it didn't snow.

Don and Jason, It really sucks. We are all in a similar boat at this point.

We had the full two weeks where nights went below freezing as well Jason. along with all the rain, cloudy days and cold damage to plants, fungus and bud rot is setting in hard.

Looking around however you really have to appreciate the natives and native palms who dont blink and these record cold and wet years. Silver Saw palmettos are fine first winter in the ground from a 3 gal.

wishing spring would come already!
