Great Florida freeze of 2010, multiple nights below freezing with ultimate low of around 20 degrees but in a somewhat protected location next to my pond. Leaves of larger plant look ok but spear pulled and leaves of strap leafed plant are 75% toasted. Reasonably sure the larger plant will pull through (at least I hope :(

Update April 2010: Both plants are sending out new spears and thus will survive. The plant seems to gain hardiness with age as the smaller plant had all of its leaves burned while the larger only had a couple. I think this plant would probably survive long term in a warm zone 8b if planted when larger, but for sure in 9a.

Ended up losing the smaller of the two, it was always pretty weak however. The larger one did very well this winter.
