Luis,

I have a few small ones in the shadehouse, not sure if they are the real deal or not. Thats because there are no big ones around to compare.

Luis, your name looks familiar. Are you the one that was in charge of the Wilson's Botanical Garden down near San Vito several years ago? If so, we have met many years ago when I made a couple of trips there.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Jeff,

I would really appreciate to see those photos because I am thinking in buying seeds, so at least to get an idea of how they are. :)  Sorry, but I am not the Luis you thought, I am beginning my collection and already have a few palms: bottle palm, dypsis decaryi, chrysalidocarpus lutescens, phoenix canariensis, cocos nucifera, a pinanga sp., a geonoma sp, and others... By the way, I saw your garden and I was fascinated seeing all those marvelous plants!!  :;):

Congratulations for your garden and thanks for the reply.

That's a cool looking palm.  Your post will probably result in more people ordering them from Jeff!

Anyone? This thing is sailing through its second winter now (potted) and the one I got last year is fine as well. It’s gorgeous!

Oh yeah, that’s a beautiful little palm, but I think I’ll keep my kidneys.

Jeff and Suchin don't accept kidney payments. $10 or $12 will probably do!

Hey Matt,

You had mentioned the two orders  looked different.  Have they grown to look the same or still different?

Thanks.  Very cool colors on the crown!

Agree Joe.

And it looks like they are on the most current price list from Floribunda.

I acquired this little palm as D. soanieranae about 18 months ago and after checking out POM, wasn’t convinced of the ID. I’m assuming it’s a Dypsis, but really have no idea what it is. Pencil thin stems and sparsely clumping. Any suggestions?

Could it possibly be Dypsis scottiana?

Do you recall our stop in Soanierana-Ivongo?

Found this on one of my usual suppliers: https://www.ebay.es/itm/Dypsis-soanieranae-70-80-cm-en-maceta-12-cm/303878359896?hash=item46c08fcb58:g:yF4AAOSwdWJgIZV0

Worth a try?

Greetings, Luís
