Another great travel thread in the works. Glad to see the sun came out for you. Those monkeys looked evil, but that flying fox/bat thing is cute as button.

Between work and family, I haven't had much time for palms at all. My "problem" with PalmTalk is I once I come here I get stuck for hours! I hope to make it to the next PSSC event in March, and might bring a friend I'm getting into palms.

glad yer enjoying it!

i started going soon after the kuta bombing in 2000 & the tourism industry was nearly wiped-out,so that meant empty hotels & no need for reservations.

i am still doing it this way but as tourism rebounds its getting harder to book stuff "on the fly." i suppose the best way is to just google bali hotels till ya find some ya like.some have an "internet discount," but if you try & book in person you can always "haggle."
