Paul, Thank you for including us in your great journey. Can you tell me (1) exactly where Bali is located and (2)is the humidity level similar to what you experienced in Florida? More pictures, please!

What you look for is what is looking

bubba bali is roughly east of australia & south of the phillipines(near the equator). humidity levels were a bit more than i experienced during the 1st part of floriduh trip.

Did you see bikes with the whole family on them?? Like mum at the back with a baby on her lap, dad riding with a kid in front of him on the fuel tank?? LOL. I know it is very dangerous, but funny nonetheless... When I used to live there, when I was growing up, we didn't think it was a problem...

after a looong walk in mid-day tropical sun we found the padang retsaurant.

kind of primitive,i was definitely thinking about all the GI parasites i could get.

Bali10-1144.jpg

i asked them to bring us a few things & they brought out what seemed like everything they had

but i couldnt make them stop,so we just ate as much as we could.

i didnt know what alot of it was but i ate it anyways, even the lung.

Bali10-1147.jpg

jess was a little scared but ate her share & enjoyed it quite a bit.the stand-out dish was thin slices of spicy beef fried to a crispity perfection called "deng-deng."

this place beats my previous fave padang restaurant in sanur!

Feet are an important part of any trip.

Paul,

I enjoyed a lot the trip so far. I like that you show the food where you are. I always figured that food was one of the most important part of any trip. It can be enjoyable, ok, or deadly. BTW, here in Brazil it is common to make shakes from avocados.
