I went to the Pious Palm sale today and picked up 20 new species for $60. I also got to meet some other local palm collectors there as well which is always fun. Thanks Bill and April for the great deal on the plants!

The turnout today was great! :D Thanks everyone who participated.

For all of ya'll who weren't able to make the trip today, there is plenty of material left, in fact a bit more of the rare stuff is still there than I would have anticipated. The lights go on inside the shadehouse at sundown; don't let the time change throw you off... Also, I have pulled a couple things out of my "off limits" area, and restocked some of the plants that were snatched up first by the early bird gets the worm type collectors. ;) ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing some more folks from the forum stop by and introducing themselves! In fact, if ya'll wanna stop by anytime after 10am I should be around, just come into the office and ask for "Bill." You may have to wait a couple minutes for me to let you into the shadehouse, but the prices and selection are worth any wait.

April and I had a blast today! Thanks again to everyone who has participated so far! B)

Dang!

I thought I was going to get to come down for the SF sale...and of course stop off yesterday. Of course, as usual, life gets in the way...

So, I assume that you have some unsold palms? What are you planning to do with them? I bet there are some I'd love to have, even if not for $3...but I can't even think about getting down there till the week of Thanksgiving...and thinking is not definitely being able to do so. Any ideas? I don't want to see any funky palms composted or ripped to shreds like a cheap Home Depot palm (not even a species listed).

I hope all went well for your sale and the SF sale. And April seems like a great addition; maybe we can meet her next trip down.

One last time I want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated and helped to make the event such a great success.
