Burt,

Sorry, but all the five gallon are sold. The seven gallon are defintely bigger and nicer and I think $85 is a good deal on them. See photos above.

Group,

Dypsis rivularis, 5g, about 3 to 4 feet tall with some trunk. See the pink color? Best for the warmest coastal environments. $52

Coming in LATE on this thread, but I have a couple of questions. Firstly, are any of these still available? Second, I have read they do well as an indoor palm, is this true? I would likely need to keep it indoors until this spring. That said, I will be moving to FLA (Tampa area) where it should be ok out doors there don't you think? Sorry I'm so late in this thread. Thanks very much!

Dear KC,

Wow, I had let this thread die away. Our sale ends tomorrow, the 2nd of Jan. I might have some Dypsis rivularis left. I think this species is a bit finicky. I've not considered it an easy plant to grow in our area. Others might disagree. Where you are now, it would definitely need indoor wintering. In Tampa, let's see if any Tampa guys respond. I'd think it would be marginal.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know I found (2) Copernicia macroglossa in 5 gallons at Jungle Music last week. This is a seriously great find! Yes I bought one. They're at least 8-10 years old.

Phil,

Thanks so much for the info! So perhaps it would be best for me to wait until I have moved to FL to attempt this palm? Also, I am wondering if you have either Chamaedorea oreophila, or Chamaedorea Elegans, with at least 8-12" of clear trunk for sale? Thanks again! Happy new year!

You only bought it because Jesse and I had to convince you by threats of joyful humiliation via the macroglossa leaves...

Seriously, I found the nice 1 gal Cyphosperma balansae I planted in another thread at Phils at the same time Matty was there. Unlike Matt, I made the decision in about 2 seconds.... :D:P

There's always something cool lurking around at Phils..

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!
