munkin itu sudah sakit.

My indonesian is not that good so please dont take me wrong but i do not understand mukin (stay)itu (that or the) sudah(finished) and sakit(sick or pain)?

Clayton.

mungkin = maybe, sudah = already (in this context), itu = can be used to replace 'it', so I think he wanted to say "maybe it is sick". Isn't language fun!!  :D

Thank you Ari,

I often get lost in the translation especially from island to island some times it is quit embarrassing.

Thanks for the input Clayton.  It isn't the first one I have found mislabled/identified according to others on this forum.

Thank you Ari, I might have to do that, there is only a few areas that it’s hard to find some one that can translate for me.

That variegated licuala looks great when it starts to seed could you save me a few seeds.

Berterima kasih

Maybe I should have said, ini satu ada penghabisan (this one is finished)? I Hope that’s right?

As you can see im only just learning it is good fun but.

Clayton,

I wished the palm was mine  :P . No, it belongs to one of a palm collector up here. Scott saw the palm in one of the open garden. Apparently, he planted 1000 grandis seeds and found 2 variegated, lost one and got one left....

This one is finished = ini sudah selesai... It is good fun translating the other way... Learning english is another matter though...

  • 8 months later...

I knew the Bogor thread was on the new forum , as I was not on the old one , and remember reading it .

I just clicked on the little magnifying glass icon up near Aris name , and that brought up all postings from her.

Michael in palm paradise,

Tully, wet tropics in Australia, over 4 meters of rain every year.

Home of the Golden Gumboot, its over 8m high , our record annual rainfall.
