Brisbane pCopernicia hospalm society garden visit

Walter John

Recommended Posts

Today our palm and cycad society chapter visited the former garden of John and Jean Price. John still had the original palm planting plan which was used to help ID some species. There has been little upkeep and therefore things looked a little shabby. Here are some photos.

Studying the plan

Hi Kris

That sheet people are looking at is a layout plan of what and where each palm is planted. It belongs to John Price the original owner. Sorry I didn't take a photo of it and now I wish I did.

I'll post some more photos soon.

wow I don't know why its so wierd seeing those american A. Wrightii's and sabal in Australia. That looks like a really cool garden. Are they taken care of? Are Pelagodoxa henryana hardy in Brisbane? I thought it get into the 40's on a normal basis there? That Aiphanes species picture is awesome as well.

I'm always up for learning new things!
