Nothing here in tijuana or more south in ensenada, santo tomas and san vicente 30- 32 north yesterday when i go to there for the work, only hot and high humiditey. The hurricane hit the peninsula about 26 -27 north and stoped in the high mountains of middle of baja california and died there and the rain and clouds go east to sonora and sinaloa.

this is good for away from the border area and la paz in the south theres very little people in the peninsula. very hot, dry, no water and no roads, and easy to die here this happen every summer.

I saw a very brief report about lots of rain -maybe 10 inches- and wind in San Juanico, damaging smaller structures (read: palapas), but not horrendous. Unknown yet is the extent of resultant flooding and damage to roads.

Sad but true! Seems every opportunity for rain vanishes as virga. But El Nino conditions continue to strengthen for a potentially very good wet season in California this winter. Nice cool down this weekend.

I'd feel better if there was a marine layer off the coast. But all models forecast a cooling as a strong upper low moves into the PacificNW. Looks to get hot again next week. Today was 13th straight of 90F+ readings [making up for a fairly cool summer].
