Corcomas. The flowers are really long lasting and they look cool and bizzare

They are all types of gingers, Gene. The ones on the left are Torch gingers & the middle ones are Beehive gingers. Something that you could plant... to introduce colours.

Post #106 is stunning... even without the variegation, it is quite attractive. I can't tell what it is... Do you know what it is, Gene? I think the variegation throw me off...

Regards, Ari :)

Unfortunately I don't have any more pictures. Its been pretty stormy here the past week so when I went back I didn't really take out my camera and shoot. Pretty miserable weather.

I'll probably take photos of my "loot" when the weather is better just to put closure on this topic.

this is a differnt kind of agave but the variegation is somewhat similar to the first kind.

The middle portions of the leaves are variegated making it look silvery/grey but the margins of the leaves are variegated a very bright golden yellow. Really cool effect. And its producing pups too.

Can't wait to get a grouping of this one in the garden

The damages on the leaves were due to my stupidity. Didn't tie her down in the back of the truck

I bought a few ferns too.

This is a very nicely variegated Asplenium Nidus, the white portions are very prominent. There are quite a few of these floating around in the commercial section and all quite pricey. I was lucky enough to find one small enough to fit in my price range.

Also got a nicely grown "mutant fern". This one is fairly large already --its a bit larger than a dinner plate.

Nice and irregular leaves.

This is also a fern but I don't know enough about ferns to identify it. Structurally it looks simillar to the maidenhair ferns-- thin wiry dark roots and very thin stems/petioles coming out of rhizomes.

But the leaf itself does not look like the typical maidenhair ferns.

A couple of new leaves unfurling and growing a bit taller than teh older leaves.

This is a stunning agave. Good take. :

Albo and variegated seldom happened at the same plant. It looks like some kind of Agave desmettiana.

The only palms I bought. Just seedlings though. They look like Areca Vestiara seedlings right now but the salesgirl says that the leaves remain entire even when they mature-- they don't go pinnate

That part was pretty easy actually--- all you have to do is not have enough money!!:mrlooney::blink::rolleyes:

I went through the whole exercise of going round and round the stalls, figuring which plants are must haves, which shoule be bought here and now and which ones can wait, trying to haggle the prices down, of course you never have enough money so you develop a priority list in your head.

Just to torture you some more-- the shows here last 9 days usually-- weekend to weekend-- and vendors usually bring in a few more surprises within the week. So when you return the following weekend your budget is totally demolished.

Cool looking ferns.

These are suppose to come from Japan - I wonder what the exact species is.

The leaves look like pine needles or at least some kind of conifer.

I inspected underneath and it looks like it was developing a trunk.

Is this some kind of miniature tree fern?
