"Not Coir"

Any one heard of a new product called "Not Coir" from Vermicrop Inc. in Loomis, CA? Seems like some some kind of timber industry by-product like shredded Incense Cedar or Cypress bark. I also heard a guess of banana waste, dried and shredded. The manufacturer won't disclose what's in it. Regardless, it has excellent aeration, and is a less soggy than coir and doesn't have the drying out/rewetting issues like peat. Seems great for germination medium.

Tried and true just aint tried and true until it's...ah heck, you see what i mean.

Try it and see is the only way...but I'm skeptical of anything where the suppler wont say what it is.
