So, for those of you who just wonder why I don't start planting and why I don't just pay someone to do this... Heres what transpired soon after the first shots.

First, I had not had a chance to "go around" the place and plane down the wood that may have warped, etc. SO, I ended up pulling 3 sections of this "finished" area to plane them because this TJI had about a 1/2 inch drop in it. I cut it out, I planed it, they reinstalled. (you can see the first section of the ceiling I removed here...)

Next, I had not built the "small wall" in the bath yet. I did that and then furred out and paneled the back of the shower...

Well, I thought you would like the garage door windows too. When the sunsets, they reflect a cool circle on the wall. But wouldn't you know it, now its overcast again.

Awesome Bill, that looks really great. You have to be one happy camper as that is a huge milestone in your addition.

When I was in the biz, we would walk the jobs with 8 foot straight edges before hanging the rock to avoid repairs later like you had in your ceiling, but inevitably stuff would slip through and we would have to fix areas.

The pics of the garage answered the question as to whether they were finishing you garage. Looks like they did a nice finish coat and left it texture free, which is smart in a garage. Shoot it with a semi-gloss (or a full gloss) so the walls are easy to clean and you are good to go.

Congtrats dude,

The amount of palms that Bill has collected divided by the cosin of the amount of palms in containers and multiply by the square root of the palms he's planted, it graphs out to look just like that reflection on the wall. I'm just sayin'. Monkey Butt Out!

Looks great Bill! Craig and I will have to come out for a visit when you are done. :)

PS - I've hung sheetrock before and will never do it again. It was kind of a necessity at the time due to lack of available workers, but definitely would have paid someone if I had the time to wait.
