Well here is a bit more excitement (at least for me :) ) going on at my house. Mostly seedlings but I thought some were interesting. Most of you guys are pulling out the wide angle lens to get pics of your Cycads and here I am with the macro, I'm feeling a little inadequate :)

Here is a little bit more activity going on in my garden.

And here is a monumental event (at least for me). This E. trispinosus has not flushed in 2.5 years since being purchased. I was a bit worried.

Dioon Spinulosum in the back and Dioon Edules in the front.

The Spinulosum flushed earlier and has lost most of the fuzzy tomentum. The edule is just starting.

Its a big step for the D. edule. It looks like he will be flushing with 10 leaves this time. The last flush only had 6 leaves. The last time this put out leaves was Christmasn time so its a flush about every 6 months.

Well this has definately been a good year so far for my Cycads with over 90% either flushing or coning already! Here is a pick of the very first Cycad that I ever bought. It is an Encephalartos Gratus I purchased as a 2 leaf seedling about 14 years ago. Here it is with it's new flush.

Here is a pic from across the pool. I just planted the brom in front of it. Pogo gave me a pup of this brom and it should turn red and orange now that I have it in the sun.

Here is a 6" caudex Horridus pup flushing. The main caudex is about 10" and is starting to flush now as well along with several other pups.
