I think i've been blessed so far with one that grows well. Apparently not an easy thing...

PLUS, most New Cal stuff should do REAL well at your house.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Bill, I wished I could say that all of my plants needing too much time or water go into the ground. If I would do so I knew it is just another way to shrink them ...

I wish you all the luck you need to keep them alive - without efforts and nerves. :D

Thanks Verena... I hope someday you find a place to plant those beauties..

Vince- I took a few shots "post drizzle" and the Basselinia looks good, but I can't hold the other fronds away and get far away enough for a good pic at the same time...

Like you said, next time you can snap it. It IS doing well, I have to say. :)

I bet the neighbors are really happy to see them in the ground too. I can't tell you how many palms and plant I have moved only to have them die from sitting on top of the ground for months waiting to be replanted.

Those babies are really going to see some good growth now. Maybe you should do a rain dance now. Nice mulch!
